“My life was about to change. But when, I had no idea. Timing is everything. And not just in music.” These are the opening lines from my novel, It Could Be Worse. And they perfectly describe an unexpected glimmer last week.
My husband and I had a meeting — we arrived early. Instead of going into the building, we stayed outside, talking and soaking in the serenity of Stowe. Certain I was seeing things, I began to squint as a person strode toward us.
“Dara?”
I squeezed my husband’s forearm. No way!
“Lisa?!”
As she got closer, I realized I wasn’t hallucinating.
Here in my happy place, where magic always seems to happen, there was my author friend, Lisa Williamson Rosenberg. What a synchronicity. And just days before, I hit “THE END” on my manuscript, a story that’s set in Vermont!
The next day, we chatted about life, writing, and everything in between. Lisa is my kinda gal—authentic, soulful, and witty. We also discovered, amongst several other commonalities, that we have the same birthday. I’m so grateful that our paths crossed. First online and now in person. I love the writing community!
Friends, check out Lisa’s novels and find her work in the following places:
